Nov.6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American actor and television producer Willie Aames, who shot to fame as a child artist, has expressed his desire to undertake a new career as a financial adviser after he went bankrupt last year. The actor, who is known for his role in television shows “Eight Is Enough” and “Charles in Charge” declared bankruptcy in the year 2008, with debts of over $350,000.
After the financial debacle last year, Willie went into severe depression due to which he even tried to commit suicide but survived the attempt. In the month of March this year, the actor also had to organize an estate sale at his Kansas house in an attempt to pay his debts. The event was even attended by a large number of his fans and also gained immense media attention despite the fact that Willie has tried to remain away from public eye since the crisis. The period saw Willie experience a lot of hardships, as supposedly he even had to sleep in parking garages and parks.
Although the actor has emphasized that his financial crisis has improved to a large extent since last year’s debacle, he still needs to work really hard to make sure that he is able to avoid the crisis in future. The 49 year old actor’s new role as an financial consultant seems to be an attempt in the same direction. Willie has reportedly emphasized that since he has already experienced the trauma of bankruptcy, he would be the right person to guide people so that they do not have to experience the same.
