american-idolMay 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The final night of “American Idol” turned out to be yet another gala affair with many celebrity performers taking on to the stage to entertain the viewers. It seemed that FOX was all set to make the “American Idol” season 9 finale a memorable event for all the viewers who no doubt had a great treat on Wednesday night. From Bret Michaels and Janet Jackson to William Hung and General Larry Platt FOX invited a host of known and not so known singers to the show to make it interesting.

William Hung and General Larry Platt have both remained “American Idol” Aspirants in the past but could not make it to the big stage. Though they were not selected by the judges during the audition, their auditions have remained in the memory of many American Idol fans and on Wednesday, to the surprise of many the two took to the stage to perform the song which General Larry Platt performed during his audition, “Pants on the Ground”. Though the controversy around “Pants on the Ground” still reigns as whether to call it a song or a rap, few will disagree to the fact that on Wednesday night the duo were able to entertain the audience to the fullest with their performance.

Larry Platt and William Hung were joined on stage by a group of girls who went on to drop their jeans at the end of the performance. On the farewell night of Simon Cowell who is considered as the toughest judge of “American Idol,” the duo’s performance no doubt made it more special.
