Will Smith is the victim of an Internet death hoax

His fans needn’t be worried as he is safe and sound. According to reports, the death hoax started on the web site FakeAWish.com. This particular site gives users the facility to create news about a celebrity using their just their first and last names.
The news originated from here and soon spread like wildfire through tweets on the popular social networking and microblogging site Twitter. What made the hoax even more credible was a trustworthy looking article about the hoax from ‘Global Associated News’. Many people fell for the hoax and invariably they spread it even further by discussing the topic on Twitter and on other social networking sites.
Will Smith was named ‘Willard Christopher ‘Will Smith, Jr.’ at birth. He is also known as ‘The Fresh Prince’. He was born on the 25th of September 1968. He has made a name for himself in Hollywood in his capacity as an actor, producer and even as a rapper. Four years ago, he was also honored with the title of the most powerful actor on the planet.
