Sep 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Natalie Portman the noted Hollywood actress is upbeat about the prospect of playing Snow White in a film that will go on floors shortly. The star who has received accolades for her performance in the film Black Swan is eying the central role in the Snow White remake which will be produced by Brett Ratner. However, this will not exactly be a children’s fairytale if the industry buzz is something to count on. She is yet to sign any contract for the upcoming movie. The script of the movie is being prepared. The film will be directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

There will be some noticeable changes in the storyline as the Snow White Producer has hinted. The dwarfs in the Disney classic tale were miners, but in the film’s script they will be robbers. There will be more comedy in the new film. Natalie Portman is on a high this days after being nominated for the coveted Academy awards and the news of her joining the cast of the new Snow White film is sure to cheer up her fans. The script of the film written by Melisa Wallack has caught the fancy of the producer.

The media buzz is that the actress will play an adult character which is very different from the fairytale one. The producer however has not elaborated on how different the character will be and what would be the spicy content for that matter! For the actress this could be a big career move and it may fetch her meatier roles in the future in Hollywood.
