Will Forte is leaving ‘Saturday Night Live’
August 27th, 2010 - 1:28 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Aug 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Will Forte will not feature in the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live. Forte has been on the show for so long that many viewers cannot imagine the show without him.
But this does not come as a total shocker to some people who have been following the actor. In an interview in May just before the release of MacGruber, Forte said though he can’t imagine himself out of the show, yet he will not remain on the show forever. And during the interview, he gave the strongest indication of leaving the show yet, when he said he would be back after a year.
Forte has been on the show for 8 of the 35 seasons that the show has been in existence. He has been on the show for so long that he said the show is almost an addiction to him. But he has decided to move on and do other things and he thanked all those who worked with him on the show.
Forte is expected to pursue other projects when he moves away from the Saturday Night Live show.
There were no immediate comments from NBC or Forte’s publicists on the departure, but a source close to the pair says that the separation was amicable.
