Will Ferrell Performs “FreeBird” As Conan O’Brien Wraps Up Tonight Show As Host

comaJan 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The last episode of ‘The Tonight Show’ with Conan O’Brien as the host was aired on Friday night and it turned out to be as entertaining as the viewers had expected it to be. The much anticipated finale episode received wide viewership and featured special guest Will Ferrell perform the 1973 classic ‘FreeBird’. Will Ferrell was accompanied by his pregnant wife Viveca Paulin in the show as he performed his rendition of the popular track.

The finale episode also had an added attraction for the viewers as Conan O’Brien strapped a guitar and joined the host of musician which also included Billy Gibbons, Ben Harper, Beck Hansen, Max Weinberg while performing the Lynard Skynyrd track.The episode also witnessed an amazing musical performance by Neil Young who sang the “Long May You Run.” Moreover, Tom Hanks also appeared as a special guest in the episode which marked the last appearance of Conan O’Brien as the host of the show.

At the same time, the show also witnessed Conan O’Brien expressing his heartfelt gratitude to all the fans, who were instrumental in making the late night program hugely successful. However, despite the differences with NBC, the host did not forget to thank the network for giving him the chance to be associated with the popular talk show. Conan O’Brien, who had been hosting the show for the past seven months, decided to quit the program following a disagreement with the NBC Network regarding their plan to shift the show to the midnight slot. Supposedly, the network paid the host $45 million to end his association with the show.
