New York, Dec 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith caused one of the greatest political “Hurricane” in history.
According to new classified documents that were released by WikiLeaks, Anna Nicole Smith was causing confusion in the Progressive Labor Party government, which was then at the helm of affairs in Bahamas. The cable claimed that, “Not since Category 4 Hurricane Betsy made landfall in 1965 has one woman done as much damage in Nassau.”
Shortly after the cable was written in November 2006, the PLP government eventually lost power.
There were so many allegations against top officials that suggested that they were compromising their positions to favor Nicole. The opposition just used those allegations against the government and won the elections.
The man that was damaged most was the Immigration Minister, Shane Gibson. He was accused of having relationship with Nicole. The granting of Nicole’s residency permit within a month of its application by the minister did very little to quench those allegations.
Several other top officials including the Prime Minister were accused of playing puppet to Nicole.
Anna Nicole Smith died on February 2007. Her remains were taken to Bahamas and buried there.
