Washington, Dec 15 (ANI): Whoopi Goldberg is well on her way to get her Christmas wish of not smoking anymore.

In her effort to give up the habit, the Ghost star has cut down her smoking to just two cigarettes a day, as she is determined to quit before Christmas Day.

The decision to dump her bad habit was made after she saw a hard-hitting TV commercial in which kids appeared to be breathing second-hand smoke.

“I saw this commercial where these little kids who were laying in the bed… and one of the kids breathes and the smoke comes out, Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

“Something about seeing those little kids exhale that smoke made me think, OK, Whoop, maybe it’s time to stop,’” she added.

Now that the smoking bit is being watched, Whoopi says the only thing she has to control now is her book-buying obsession.

“I was addicted to books. I would go in and I would buy 20 books every time I passed the bookstore and then I realised I wasn’t reading any of them… I just wanted to buy them,” she said. (ANI)
