Whoopi Goldberg Los Angeles, Oct 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The debate on the proposed building of a mosque near the Ground Zero moved another gear up on “The View” show on Thursday.

Things got really nasty that Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the show on Thursday.

This was after Whoopi got into a heated argument about President Obama’s support for the proposed mosque. According to the guest on the show, Bill O’Reilly the United States president’s support for the proposed mosque showed Obama’s divided loyalty for America and the Middle East. President Obama has been accused of being a Muslim and analysts believe it is one of the worse handled issues by the White House.

Whoopi was not ready to allow O’Reilly’s comments to go unchallenged. Things got really nasty though when O’Reilly told Whoopi to literally shut up and listen to him. The exact words “Listen to me because you’ll learn!” shocked the audience and led to the walkout by Whoopi and Joy.

The other co-host of the show, Barbara Walters disturbingly turned to the audience and said “this should not have happened” in an apparent apology.

The debate on the building of the mosque near ground zero has strongly divided the United States. The New York Mayor and the President of the United States have all indicated publicly that they support the building of the mosque near the Ground Zero.
