Los Angeles, September 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards was telecast live on the CBS network on September 20. The coveted awards ceremony saw the get together of a large section of the glitzy gathering of some of the biggest and most prominent names in the field of television entertainment. As it is quite evident, it was a completely star studded event, and the Red Carpet event showcased some of the most stylish people to walk that way.

So, which of the celebrities shone on the red carpet and who all were counted among the misses, this is one of the most talked highlights of the event, post the Emmys. Among the names to be included in the Best Dressed list at the 2009 Emmy Awards, were Christina Applegate, Heidi Klum, Olivia Wilde, Vanessa Williams, Sandra oh, Kyra Sedgwick and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Not a very unlikely set of names, as most of these celebs are known around the industry, for their impeccable sense of fashion.

Kyra Sedgwick stepped up to the red carpet, dressed in an absolutely gorgeous pale pink number, that looked stunning on her. Supermodel Heidi Klum walked the carpet at the Emmys, donning a black strapless gown that came from the fashion house of Mercesa. Even though being very much pregnant, the star managed to look her glamorous best at the fashion fiesta, pre-Emmys.

Sandra Oh looked elegant in a body fitting sheath, that was teamed up with a rope belt and actress Vanessa Williams turned up looking classy in a shiny turquoise gown. Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ dark blue strapless Vera Wang attire complimented her looks all the more.

According to gossip columns, the list for the worst dressed at red carpet included Kristin Wiig, Padma Lakshmi, Sarah Silverman, January Jones, Chloe Sevidny, Kristin Chenoweth and Elizabeth Perkins.
