There has always been a lot of speculations surrounding the supposed romantic interest of Tyra Banks, mostly because she has always kept her private affairs hidden from the public eye successfully. This time however, the curtain has been lifted on who the man in her life is. It is reported that Tyra Banks is dating John Utendahl.

Who is John Utendahl? He is a 50 year old New York based businessman, who is the man behind the hugely successful Utendahl Group; which is the largest investment banking organization in the country being run by a African- American. He is heard to have been born in Queens and had attended the Long Island University. Later on, he had pursued his MBA from the Columbia University. He is reported to have been married to Phyllis Hollis previously, but has separated from his wife. It is heard that he and the supermodel have been dating each other since July 2007.

Utendahl’s company specializes in aiding institutional investors in fixed income asset management. The Group has offices both in NY and Orlando. Prior to launching UCM, Utendahl was a Vice President at Merill Lynch from 1986 to 1992.

The rumors of the Tyra- Utendahl romance had actually sparked off when Tyra recently shifted the production of her shows, “America’s Next Top Model” and “The Tyra Banks Show”, to New York from Los Angeles. It was alleged that the move was made so that she could be closer to her boyfriend in New York. These two were recently spotted vacationing in Hawaii.
