December 5th, 2009 - 9:22 pm ICT by Aishwarya Bhatt ( Leave a comment )Cambridge, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famed composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has a famous daughter too, Imogen Lloyd Webber who is an esteemed author in her own right. She was born on 31st March, 1977. She completed her education at Girton College, Cambridge and she runs a production company named “ILW Productions”. ”Touched… For The Very First Time” was the debut show of her company, which had a limited run at the Trafalgar Studios in London’s West End. The show was written by Zoe Lewis and directed by Douglas Rintoul.
Lloyd’s wrote a non-fiction book ‘The Single Girl’s Guide’, which was published in UK in April 2007 and in US in October 2007. However she declined an offer to take part in the ITV’s reality show “Love Island” as she was very particular about her privacy. She also worked on Fox Business Network as a famous and an apt commentator. The day when she completed her graduation in first class she felt miserable instead of being happy she says: “It was just another day of having no energy and feeling completely exhausted, For months, I’d been living on cans of Pepsi Max to keep me going because I could barely get out of bed in the morning. I couldn’t work out what was wrong, why at 22 I was feeling like this.”
She went in for medical attention and her doctor advised her for a blood test and then tests confirmed that she had hypothyroidism, which indicates an underactive thyroid. Then she immediately started medication and within weeks she felt normal. But that is not the end of the story as within six months she developed an adverse reaction to the thyroxine. She recalls: “I couldn’t sleep at night because my mind and my heart were racing. I lost almost two stone, and I dropped from a 14 to a size six, even though I was eating more than I ever had. All my clothes were loose and baggy and I had to buy a whole new wardrobe.”
After these incidents, she became very aware of the situation, and is now an advisor for her friends and family and asks them to get thoroughly checked for any medical emergencies.
