houstonParis, Apr 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Whitney Houston’s illness seems to be continuing, and the singer seems to be quite some way from complete recovery, as it can be gleaned from the turn of events. According to reports, the country singer has been forced to postpone the European tour that she was about to undertake, one more. The tour, which is part of the very first tour that the singer is embarking on after a very long span of time, and is being hailed by observers as a comeback of sorts, was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Apr 6, 2010. However, that had to be pushed back on account of the respiratory problem that the singer has been suffering from.

Now, after it was declared that the European part of the tour would be taking place on Apr 8 and 9 in Manchester and Glasgow respectively, Whitney Houston has declared once more that the dates would have to be rescheduled. According to reports, her doctor did not feel that the singer was in the perfect health for performing in a concert at present, and had urged her to take some further rest. It has been reported that the tour would be kicking off the coming Tuesday, in Birmingham.

According to a statement released by the representatives of the singer, Whitney Houston is apparently suffering from some form of upper respiratory infection. She is currently admitted in a hospital in Paris, and is being treated for nose and throat infection. The statement released by her label, Sony Music, read that she would not be able to perform at present, and that she would need the “time to recover.” The singer expressed her regrets about the postponement.
