- London, October 18 (ANI): Whitney Houston, who is set to make a comeback on X-Factor after fighting drugs and bad marriage, has revealed that her daughter encouraged her to sing once again.
She said that when Arista Records mogul Clive Davis called her to make her an offer, her daughter told her to go through with it.
Houston said that Davis called saying “It’s time for you to come back and sing for us.”
“My daughter said, ‘Mom, you can do this.’ She encourages and inspires me,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
“I look at her eyes and I see myself, and I go, ‘OK, I can do this.’ “I’m still going to remain the quiet, private person I have been for the past 10 years.
“I just want to be recognised for my music, for that it does and how it inspires people. How it makes people feel as opposed to talking about Whitney all the time,” she added.
The singer will perform her single Million Dollar Bill on the show. (ANI)
