Washington, July 23 (ANI): Whitney Houston has credited her teenage daughter for infusing confidence in her to make a musical comeback.

The veteran singer is all set to release her highly anticipated comeback album, ‘I Look to You’, this September (09), which will be her first album in six years.

The star has admitted that she had made up her mind to retire from pop, until her 15-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina convinced her she had the talent and strength to return.

“She was with me every step of the way: ‘Mom, you can do this.’ When I get discouraged and I get like, ‘This is tiring, this is wearing me out, I’m just not at that point,’ she’d just go, ‘No, mom, you can do this, get up, get up,” Contactmusic quoted the 44-year-old singer as saying.

She added: “She encourages me and inspires me, when I look at her and I look at her eyes and I see myself, I go, ‘OK, I can do this. I can do this.’” (ANI)
