Mar 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There have been several news reports and comments made concerning Whitney Houston’s faltering voice, and coughing spells during her shows. Her tour promoter has released an explanation for her vocal issues-she refuses to stop smoking cigarettes.

Whitney, superstar that she is, has had many comments, from complaints to concerns lately from fans and spectators, due to her coughing fits, and lack of breath. Her new “Nothing But Love” tour has been tainted by complaints from critic as well as fans in Australia who are supposedly upset that she has had a very hard time even finishing her sets.

In Brisbane Australia, Whitney was said to have coughed her way through the show, taking repeated breaks to catch her breath, and in Sydney many fans were said to have walked out when her voice cracked up during her performance.

With rumors flying everywhere that Whitney is having serious health issues, her spokesperson sorta sidestepped those reports, leaving everyone wondering what was going on. Perhaps this is why her tour promoter, Andrew MCManus, had finally decided to open up and tell us what the issue is. He blames tobacco for her failed performances of late.

MCManus explains, “Whitney smokes. God bless her, I can’t tell her not to. She will not take any substances. She just will not. It is what it is. She’s comfortable with the show she’s performing. She knows she’s not hitting every note like she used to. But it’s value for money, it’s Whitney Houston warts and all.”
