Whitney Houston has spent her entire fortune
January 25th, 2012 - 7:28 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattWashington, Jan 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Whitney Houston has spent all her fortune, Radar Online reports. The 48-year-old was once considered one of the highly paid artists of her generation.
At the height of her success, Whitney signed a massive contract worth $100 million to come out with six albums. That was the biggest record deal at the time. All that seems to be gone now because the British newspaper the Daily Mail says the singer is currently living on support from her record label, Arista. The company will deduct the amount from the deal on Whitney’s next album.
Radaronline.com quoted a source as saying that, “Whitney’s fortune is gone. Music industry heavy hitters are supporting her and her label is fronting her cash against her next album, but no one knows when that will be released.”
The source further said Whitney might have found herself on the streets but for the help of some loved ones around her. One of the humiliating moments has to be when the source said she asked a friend for a loan of $100.
Whitney was married to singer Bobby Brown. A spokesperson of the singer has called the allegations as “ridiculous” saying the singer recently signed a deal for a film.
Whitney struggled with cocaine addiction. She sought help and has since broken free from the addiction.
