Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The medical students prepare for the White Coat Ceremony in front of their parents, one student will be chosen as the key note speaker. Doctor Cox interviews the med students and wants them to come up with the answer to the question “Why do you want to be a doctor?” Lucy has a hard time finding the answer and while trying to find the perfect answer to please Dr. Perry Cox she becomes frustrated. Before long she is asking her colleagues why they want to be doctors?

While Turk examines a patient he is mystified by what is causing a rash on a scar that was left by a previous surgery. Drew a med student, has found the answer and Dr. Turk is very impressed and puts his name in for Key Note Speaker. Cole becomes jealous when he hears Doctor Kelso announce to Drew that he has been picked as the speaker for the White Coat Ceremony. An internet video that Cole has found on Drew where he is seen attacking a speaker at a medical ceremony depicts Drew as a bad candidate for key note speaker. Cole presents the video to Dr. Turk who becomes concerned with Drew’s actions. When Drew learns the video has surfaced he backs out of being the speaker. Turk talks to Drew and lets him know that Drew is not the person he was years ago when the video was filmed. Telling him he is a better person and should not live in the past and by his past actions.

Denise asks Elliot for relationship advice and finds she does not like what Elliot is suggesting to her, although Lucy is very interested and befriends Elliot. Lucy asks Elliot why she became a doctor and explains to her she can’t find the perfect answer for Dr. Cox. Elliot suggests she speak from her heart and to be honest in her feelings.

Drew realizes he is a better person then he was several years ago and has de cided to be the speaker. After reassessing the question of “Why do you want to be a doctor?” he realizes it is because he wants to give second chances. He was given a second chance and everyone deserves a second chance at life.
