Google gives 87,100,000 results for Britney Spears which is almost double of 33,500,000 - the results for George Bush. Even 883 results in google books show up. What’s the reason of this national obsession with Britney Spears and her life. Whether she has to pay her legal dues worth 400,000 dollars or whether she is with recording studio and not or with Ghalib or anything whatsoever she becomes the center point of all conventional and non-conventional media.
Check this: Britney Spears is set to make a second guest appearance on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The singer/actress made a splash last month when she appeared as a receptionist on the popular program propelling the show to its highest ratings ever!!!
Basically she is an extremely successful pop singer. Her success as a recording artist has allowed her to work in other media; she has acted in film and television, has written two books, and has been contracted to endorse several products, including her own perfume line. As a result of her fame, Spears’s personal life has received much media attention. This only escalated after her marriage to Kevin Federline in 2004. She gave birth to her first child, Sean Preston, in 2005 and to her second child, Jayden James, in 2006.The couple’s divorce in November of the same year was highly publicized, followed by an ongoing custody battle over their sons.
Spears’s music videos have contributed significantly to her musical success. The video for “…Baby One More Time” featured Spears in a school uniform that exposed her midriff, an image that helped propel her to superstardom. Similarly, the video for “Oops!… I Did It Again” showed Spears wearing a red tightly-fitted catsuit, fueling speculations that the star has breast implants. Her image as a “clean, straight-up girl” was revolutionized by the videos for “I’m A Slave 4 U” and “Toxic”, which generated controversy by portraying Spears in a more sexually-oriented manner.
