Westlife is composed of 32 years old Nicky Byrne, 29 years old Mark Feehily, 31 years old Shane Filan and 30 years old Kian Egan.
After such a long association, the band decided to ditch Syco record label and instead join hands with Sony RCA, in a deal that is being speculated to be worth millions. It also ought to be mentioned that Westlife’s manager is X-Factor judge Louis Walsh.
The news has been confirmed by a tweet on the popular social networking and microblogging site Twitter by Westlife member Nicky Byrne. He confirmed the news as, “Truth is yes we have moved on from Syco records after a fantastic 13 years. But it is time for a change and it’s very exciting.”
It seems that there were some professional differences between them. It has been reported that Syco turned down the offer to release one of their single tracks sometime back. However the Westlife members maintain that they have no hard feelings with their former record company. Louis said that, “The move was a natural progression. There was no bad feeling.”
