Welfare board for cine workers in Tamil Nadu
December 15th, 2009 - 4:25 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Chennai, Dec 15 (IANS) The Tamil Nadu government Tuesday set up a welfare board for workers of the film world, including workers of the small screen, to extend welfare measures to them.
The welfare board will be headed by the information minister and its members will include movie producers, actors, directors and representatives of workers.
The setting up of the welfare board follows Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s announcement in this regard at a function here Oct 9.
