Weaver set to return for fifth ‘Alien’ movieDecember 27th, 2008 - 12:57 pm ICT by IANS
London, Dec 27 (IANS) Actress Sigourney Weaver is all set to return and star in the fifth “Alien” film.Weaver was the original female action star when she appeared in the first “Alien” movie in 1979. The director of the franchise is also set to return for the fifth movie, reports thesun.co.uk.
Weaver said: “I would definitely do another ‘Alien’ film if I had a director like Ridley Scott and we had a good idea. Ridley is enthusiastic about it. If it happened, I would be happy.
“I have this New York attitude to life. I want it now - or yesterday. I am trying to be more mellow with age but it is hard to slow down. I have always liked working hard and being involved in a lot of different projects.”
Weaver is set to turn 60 next year but still wants to play the character Ripley in the movie.
She said: “It really didn’t bother me being 50 and I don’t think it will at 60 either. I really feel good every time I start a new decade. I think there could be another ten years ahead and I wonder what they will bring? The only thing that does bother me is how quickly time passes; the years are racing by.
“I always think it’s important to keep going, at whatever age you are, at something which interests you.”
