Wayne Rooney, Cheryl Cole top Brit teenagers’ public figures list
May 2nd, 2010 - 12:41 pm ICT by ANILondon, May 2 (ANI): When it comes to public figures, British teenagers believe the most in footballer Wayne Rooney and singer Cheryl Cole.
The pair pipped political leaders in Britain in terms of popularity and “believability”, reports The Daily Star.
Coinciding with the release of I Believe In You by Hannah, the singer asked 10,000 British teenagers on a music fan website: “Which British Public Figures Do You Most Believe In?”
The poll of male personalities was topped by Rooney, 24, as responders believed the Manchester United striker could help England win the World Cup this summer.
And Cheryl, 26, was singled out as an aspirational figure for young women. (ANI)
