April 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Australian actress Naomi watts known for her roles in films such as Mulholland Drive, The Ring and 21 Grams , for which she received an Academy Award nomination was not sure about her career in Hollywood.

She said that she had to struggle hard to get her big break in the entertainment industry and repeated rejections in auditions initially took a toll on her confidence. She said that despite slogging in Hollywood for five years her career was nowhere. She was constantly told by casting people that she was not talented enough. She in fact seriously considered quitting acting and taking other job in restaurants or magazines.

Watts who is good friends with fellow Australian actress Nicole Kidman said that during that time of despair her friend Nicole gave her hope. She took inspiration from Kidman who would often tell her that it would only take one film to change her fortune.

Today Watts is considered most cost efficient actress, according to Forbes magazine. She helped the box office rake in an estimated $44 for every $1 she was paid for her last three major films.

Her future projects include Ann Patterson’s “Dream House’ and Jenna Kalyan’s “Drawing’.
