Randy Quaid April 15, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): American actor and comedian, Randy Quaid, and his wife, are desired by the establishment again. The couple was detained in Texas in September last year for purportedly swindling an inn keeper, committing stealing and perpetrating a conspiracy springing from a $10000 quarrel at Santa Barbara. They pleaded that they were guiltless in December and were released on a $40,000 bail.

The couple was supposed to make an appearance in Santa Barbara on April 12, 2010. Senior Deputy District Attorney, Lee Carter, has stated that they also did not turn up when their case was again called on April 13, 2010. As a result of this, the $40,000 in bail was forfeited and arrest warrants for the couple were discharged again on April 14, 2010.

An arrest warrant was released against them in October last year when they skipped appearing before court. The Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office launched bench warrants for their capture and expatriation from Texas, which later was nullified.

Quaid is best known for his roles in the motion pictures like The Last Detail, Independence Day, Kingpin, Brokeback Mountain, and the CBS miniseries Elvis. He has been nominated for the Academy Award, Emmy Award and BAFTA Award and has acquired a Golden Globe Award. He has also voiced the animated character of Colonel Sanders in radio and television commercials for the snack food restaurant chain, Kentucky Fried Chicken.
