New York, May 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the biggest blockbuster movies of all time “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” will be released in blu ray disc this summer. As announced by Warner Brothers, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest: 35th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition” shall be released on July 15. This time the movie pack shall include the very best of supplements that ranges from playing cards, character cards, posters of the iconic movie, movie stills and other goodies. Warner Brothers thought that it would be a good idea to offer the movie in a new blu ray version for all modern day viewers.

The movie happens to be one of the most sought after movies of Milos Forman which also witnessed Jack Nicholson in one of the best roles in his acting career. Jack Nicholson portrays the role of McMurphy, a convict (taken into custody for rape charges) who manages to convince the prison guards that he is a mad man and escapes the prison to land up in a mental asylum. Jack Nicholson does total justice to the role which portrays him as a rebel in the movie against the authoritative nurse of the mental asylum.

The storyline takes a sharp turn where Mc Murphy’s different view of life gains ground with the patients of the mental asylum. Some of the long tenants of the mental asylum actually shows signs of improvement after the convict steps in. Nurse Ratched (played by Louise Fletcher) grounds the convict for his indiscipline in the hospital to which the rebel responds in a challenging manner. It’s Jack Nicholson’s performance which is one of the greatest assets of the movie and by all means makes it a worthy collection for all his fans.
