Los Angeles, Mar 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Warner Bros and Atlas Entertainment have joined in hands with plans to bring “Gilligan’s Island” to the silver screen. It is probable that Brad Copeland will be penning down the screenplay for this iteration of ‘Gilligan’s Island’ movie.

The oh- so -popular sitcom from the ‘ 60s relates the story of seven people all set out for a three hour tour on a little ship named “Minnow”. The winds all of sudden starts blowing in tough scoring typhoon that finally tosses over the little ship thus leaving the passengers on to a deserted island. The seven characters of the story consists of the captain of Minnow, Gilligan [the first mate of captain], Howells [a millionaire couple], Ginger Grant, [a movie star], Mary Ann Summers [the farm girl] as well as the Professor who taught science. The story then unfolds how these seven people marooned on the island fights back many a encounters on their way back among the normal civilization. Warner Bros have already started to pull in their first bricks together for this iconic sitcom of the 1960’s.

Well, this isn’t the first venture for Hollywood roping in the old classics to go through extreme revamp sessions to reach out the modern day audience. In process of remaking a master project they sometimes ruin the very essence of the story. However, with master makers like Warner Bros, one can definitely hope for the very best to come. Charles Roven, the producer is immensely delighted about the ‘Gilligan’s Island’ movie project and he is apprehensive of the fact that the iconic characters of this evergreen story will definitely find its way, pleasing the hearts of the viewers.
