Mar 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Yesterday the Walmart stores at several places got choked with howling vampire and werewolf fans, courtesy a special DVD release of ‘New Moon’, the second movie in the Twilight Saga. The fans of Hollywood’s latest heartthrobs, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson thronged the various Wal mart stores. The excitement regarding the DVD release party at Wal Mart stores reached a crescendo ever since it was announced. The DVD fan edition that was released at the opening hours of March 20th include hitherto unseen footages that were not shown in the theaters. This made the fans all the more excited.

It is a well-known fact that both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner rose to super stardom after the first movie in the ‘Twilight’ franchise released. The success of the first movie was repeated by the sequel even though the critical reception to ‘New Moon’ was lukewarm. The exceptional public response to the WalMart DVD release party once again proves that the movie viewers and lovers of vampire flicks do not care much about critical reviews. The fans of the two hot hunks of Hollywood lined up at the Wal Mart stores and they also took their cameras to capture the DVD release event.

The first 300 lucky fans got a special autographed copies of the ‘New Moon’ DVD. The previous year Wal Mart got huge response to the DVD release of the first Twilight film and they tasted the success again yesterday. The videos of the ‘New Moon’ Walmart video release parties have already been uploaded to the web. The DVD also offers the fans a small glimpse into the upcoming sequel named ‘Eclipse’.
