July 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated sequel to the 1987 hit Wall Street is going to be released this year but a new controversy has started doing the rounds and it is related to the lead actor of the film, Michael Douglas. The 65 year old actor is being persuaded by his ex wife Diandra for paying her a share of his income from the movie ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’. The lawyers of his ex wife have claimed that though the couple divorced 10 years back, she deserves a share of his income if he acts in any spin off of his earlier movies. As one can feel, the actor is quite upset with this development. He does not want the movie to get mired in controversy before its release. Besides, he does not want the gossip mongers to spread juicy stories regarding the subject.
His lawyers have approached court and their argument is that the upcoming movie is not a spin off but a sequel, and that ensures his ex wife would not get anything from it. The actor who is reprising his famous role of Gordon Gekko is perhaps recalling the line “Greed is good”. It is ironical that his ex wife has turned greedy and she is not content with the $45 million settlement given to her. The actor divorced her 10 years back and later he married actress Catherine Zeta Jones.
The movie’s trailer has been released and in it the actor shares screen space with Hollywood hottie Shia Labeouf. He wants the movie to succeed and also wants to resolve this issue before it gets released.

Michael Douglas, who is famously known to hire a professional audit done for all his films, would be ranting and raving until it thundered if someone tried to renege on a contract with him. His divorce settlement, which he agreed too, gave Diandra Douglas 50% of all income generated from films that he was in during the course of their marriage. Whether he likes it or not, and apparently he doesn’t, his new film, “Money Never Sleeps” is a sequel to “Wall Street”. He made a legal agreement with Diandra, and he owes her half the income. It has absolutely nothing to do with Diandra wanting something that she has no right too; he agreed in writing, and he should stop whining, stop hiring expensive lawyers, and exercise some integrity and pay her. Period.

Integrity and MD are oxymorons. He cheated on his wife of 22 years, started over with a trophy wife. The first wife married him with nothing, and the trophy only married him for his millions. He screwed his son with his philandering, and now is carrying his wife’s fur like her valet. She is talentless,he buys her oscars and tonys. Puhleez! Neil Diamond is a man with integrity, the way he dealt with his divorce. This skinflint will only pay his lawyers and his coarse inlaws
