Vocalist Makh Daniels Of ‘Early Graves’ Dies After Van Crash

edPortland, Aug 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A van carrying band members of Early Graves and The Funeral Pyre suffered a fatal crash on Monday at Interstate 5 claiming the life of the lead vocalist of the ‘Early Graves’, Makh Daniels. Two guitarists were also injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment. However, their wounds are not life threatening. Six others from the two bands escaped the crash with minor injuries. The San Francisco based bands were headed towards Nevada from Oregon when the crash happened. The Oregon State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings said to media sources that Makh Daniels was declared dead on the spot of the accident.

Police Lt. Gregg Hastings mentioned that the accident occurred while the bands which performed at a show in Oregon on Sunday were heading towards Nevada. The driver of the van allegedly fell asleep and lost control over the wheels. The van rolled over and came to a stop at a place off the freeway. The driver has been identified as Justin Garcia, guitarist for The Funeral Pyre who himself got injured in the crash and was rushed to the hospital along with Early Graves guitarist Tyler Jensen. Makh Daniels was pulled out from the rear cargo area of the car where he was lying along with two other band members. The police have mentioned that Makh Daniels was not wearing a seat belt.

Makh Daniels was the vocalist for Early Graves’ latest release “Goners”. The band was on a tour since June 25 and had performed at several places including New England and South California. It was scheduled to perform at Reno on Monday.
