Nov 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Fresh after the release and success of his latest flick ‘Rakht Charitra,’ noted Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi got tied in wedlock and the reception ceremony was held on Sunday night. As expected, the wedding reception of the actor and his wife Priyanka Alva turned out to be a truly star studded affair with a number of prominent personalities gracing the occasion.

The reception was attended by many political bigwigs and a lot of Bollywood stars. A number of Opposition political leaders including veteran BJP leader L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Chhagan Bhujbal, the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister were present at the event. Other politicians like Praful Patel, the Civil Aviation minister and Sanjay Nirupam, a Congress MP were also seen at the ceremony. There were a number of leading Corporate honchos at Vivek Oberoi’s wedding reception like Parmeshwar and Adi Godrej. Namal Rajpakshe who is the offspring of Mahinda Rajpakshe, the president of Sri Lanka was also seen at the venue. A lot of co-actors of the star from Bollywood including Tabu, Ritesh Deshmukh, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Fardeen Khan were there at the reception. Director Vishal Bharadwaj, Ram Gopal Verma and actor politician Shatrughan Sinha also hogged the limelight at the event.

However, the wedding reception of Vivek Oberoi did not have two big stars of Bollywood, namely Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. Vivek Oberoi had reportedly sent invitation to both but they chose not to attend the event. As expected, the numerous fans of the actor sent lots of tweets after his marriage and reception ceremony.
