Sep 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The tenth and possibly the last season of the TV series “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” will have former star Vincent D’Onofrio on board.

It may be recalled that actor D’Onofrio had left the series after the eighth season but that is about to change soon, as he is set to return as to the hit TV show as police Detective Robert Goren.

D’Onofrio who is of Italian descent has played roles in several films. He gained nearly 32 kg to play Private Leonard Gomer Pyle Lawrence in the 1987 movie, “Full Metal Jacket”. In another movie, “Adventures in Babysitting”, D’Onofrio appeared briefly towards the end of the movie and ironically, that brief appearance gave him prominence because of his masculine features.

D’Onofrio has moved ahead to feature in other movies including “Men in Black”. He has played several roles from being the father of a saint in “Household Saints” to playing a serial killer in “The Cell”

The date for the airing of the new season of the series is not out, but it is known that eight new episodes will air in 2011.

Dick Wolf created the “Law & Order” franchise and it started airing on NBC.
