Vincent D’Onofrio Returns As Detective Robert Goren For The Tenth Season Of ‘Law & Order’
September 22nd, 2010 - 7:23 pm ICT by Pen Men At WorkSeptember 22, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The ‘Law & Order’ star is back. Vincent D’Onofrio will be returning to the tenth season of the show after a short recession.
He had been a part of the show ever since it went on air back in the year 2001. Both Kathryn Erbe and D’Onofrio had acted alongside each other until the reports started hinting at his exit from the show, last year. The fans of the show were particularly sad to see him leave but have reason to cheer up now. The star is coming back for the next season.
Speculations are already rife about whether the epic show is destined to call it curtains in 2011. However, the D’Onofrio fans can at least take heart from the fact that he will be seen yet again in the form of Detective Robert Goren.
The decision to make alterations in the cast had been afloat even a year ago. While there had been a change in the cast from time to time, the two main characters remained the same throughout. D’Onofrio had, however, been quite positive about the entire thing. He had himself said that he needed to explore other opportunities after being tied to the show for eight long years. He also seemed to be happy at the addition of Jeff Goldblum. He did say though that he expected Goren to pop up in the show from time to time.
‘Criminal Intent’ is a part of the ‘Law & Order’ franchise which had been created by Dick Wolf for NBC originally.
If the show is likely to end soon, the fans feel that Goren needs to be a part of the ending too. However, nothing is clear as yet and only time will tell whether Vincent D’Onofrio will have to bid a fond adieu to his character of Robert Goren.
