Vincent Craig To Perform At Delaware Country Symphony Concert

Feb 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Soloist Vincent Craig will be performing the piano at the Third Delaware Country Symphony concert on Sunday Feb 28 alongside guest conductor, Rosalind Erwin in an exclusive programmer called “Romantic Favorites”. The Chamber concert series will be in full swing with Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger Overture followed by Capriccio Espagnol by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The Delaware County Symphony Jazz Ensemble, “Dexterity” will be presenting an original Jazz arrangement to the direction of Vincent Iannone.
The Commentary for Chamber program will be delivered by Charles Thomas,who is Director of the Delaware County Symphony. Vincent Craig will grace the occasion with his solo performance on piano for the audience. Vincent Craig who happens to be a celebrated soloist from New York descends from Jascha Zayde institution and has many awards and accolades to his credit. He won the prestigious Scott Joplin Award from Brooklyn Opera Society followed by a scholarship from the Brooklyn Chapter of the Links. Vincent Craig earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the Oberlin College and also completed his Masters in Music from Peabody Institute. Vincent Craig has also presided over many master classes for artists and musicians. Vincent Craig is also the Music Director of the Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon and also an assistant professor in the School of Music at the West Chester University.
The chamber program will also feature guest soloist Yukiko Ishida performing along with the Philadelphia Violincello Society. They shall be performing Bachianas Brasilerias; 2 & 5 which is grandeur of compositions by the talented Villa-Lobos.
