A while ago “Lord of The Rings’ star Viggo Mortenson had said that his latest flick, “The Road’ would be his last movie. Many naturally felt that he was heading towards retirement.
But now the actor has said that he’s not retiring from the movie world any time soon and just wants to take a long break from Hollywood.
He’s said: “I have no plans to do another movie. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m open to seeing how I feel in a while, but right now I’m not saying yes to anything. My agent is like, ‘Well, if you don’t do anything, people will forget about you’, I just feel like I’ve taken on too much for a while.”
He also said that he was misunderstood and in the first place itself, he never meant that he will quit acting.
He stated: “I know people are reading about that on the Internet. People just asked me if I had another movie lined up and I was honest and I said, ‘No, not yet. I guess most actors lie and say, Oh, I have 12 projects, but I can’t really disclose them.’ At least they didn’t say I died”.
Well, that’s hell of a true statement by an actor with a mind of his own. He was luckier with the media than Matt Damon whose supposed “death’ was conjured up by the media.
