Viewers faint on seeing Danny Boyle’s latest movie - ‘127 Hours’
October 29th, 2010 - 8:03 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Oct 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) If you think movies are just “made-believe” and that they are not real, you may be wrong. Some movies look so real that they can make people pass out. At least one movie has done just that.
A scene in Danny Boyle’s latest movie, “127 Hours” caused three people to pass out and others to flee their seats. The particular scene that caused so much panic was when actor, James Franco who played a climber whose arm was trapped by a boulder severed the arm off with a penknife.
The story is based on a true-life story that happened in 2003. It is based on the life story of Aron Ralston during a mountain climbing expedition in Utah. He took the hard decision of cutting his arm off after staying trapped for five days. After severing his trapped arm off, he was spotted by some hikers who informed rescuers to complete Aron’s rescue.
After surviving the ordeal, Aron wrote a book about the incident and has since turned a motivational speaker. It seems Boyle who won an Oscar for with the movie Slumdog Millionaire made the movie so real on that it caused the people to faint and another to have a seizure.
