Video Game Awards 2010 Hogs Spotlight

Video Game Awards 2010Dec 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Video Game Awards 2010 has turned out to be an extravaganza for the gaming fanatics and the teasers and glimpses of some of the upcoming PC and console games have left them breathless. The host of this year’s awards ceremony was Neil Patrick Harris and the event surely turned out to a delightful experience for game lovers.

At VGA 2010, the spotlight was on the upcoming game of Guillermo Del Toro. The announcement of the game named Insane has created mass excitement. The game is expected to have unprecedented visual effects and a riveting storyline. However, the game will be made available in 2013 and that is quite a long wait. After a prolonged period of speculation the trailer of Mass Effect 3 has been unveiled at the VGA 2010 as well. The sequel to the famous Bioware RPG franchisee will be released next year. It is not known which platform will get the first release but PSA3 is a strong contender for this game. The 8th Video Game Awards, an annual event was arranged by Spike TV yesterday. Ever since its inception, the yearly ceremony has become famous for its association with game trailer release, celebrities and media hype. Geoff Keighley, the VGA executive producer talked at length about the ceremony of this year. The VGA nominations are selected by a panel comprising of top industry journalists working with renowned publications.

This year a number of much anticipated games trailers have been unveiled at the VGA ceremony. Some new trailers of the previously announced games have also made appearances. The award ceremony can also be watched online by those who missed the live broadcast for any reason.
