Jan 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American Idol has gone on air with its ninth season that premiered January 12, Tuesday night. The special guest of honor, or rather the guest judge was Victoria Beckham when the show started its auditions at Boston. It is also to be noted that Victoria Beckham has recently been replaced by Megan Fox, for the Emporio Armani underwear adverts. In turn, she replaced Ellen DeGeneres, but only just.

After having Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Katy Perry and Joe Jonas, it was the turn of the “Spice”-y Victoria Beckham to voice her opinion on the American Idol wannabes. The Posh Spice girl did make an imprint on the mind of the audience (as if it was needed) when she stood against Simon Cowell. As is his USP, Simon Cowell had been rolling his eyes when our style queen was voicing her feedback after Bosa Mora’s audition. “Why do you do that?”, she said and then “..it takes so much nerve to stand there and do that.” Well Mrs Beckham, it certainly takes a lot of nerve to sit and do that-jibe Mr Cowell. The Footballer’s wife has been filling in for Ellen DeGeneres, who is in turn filling in for Paula Abdul. Since Ellen DeGenres has not been attending the first audition rounds, other guest judges like the above mentioned ones have been used to take up her place until she returns.

Sources say that the celebrity took on the American Idol for her kids. Twitter [as was expected], is talking about “what’s with her hair”and Vitoria Beckham “will be the death of American Idol”
