London, Nov 16 (IANS) Former Spice girl Victoria Beckham has landed a speaking role in the next “Madagascar” movie.
The 35-year-old will voice a character in the animated film, which is due for release in 2012. Ben Stiller and David Schwimmer will also give voiceovers in “Madagascar 3″, reported imdb.com.
Victoria, wife of football star David Beckham, earlier made a brief appearance in TV serial “Ugly Betty” and did a voiceover for hit children’s show “Spongebob Squarepants”.
The first Madagascar movie, about a group of zoo animals accidentally shipped back to Africa, was released in 2005. It was an international hit and was followed by a successful sequel “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” in 2008.
