Vice President greets nation on Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Chaitra, Sukhladi and Cheti Chand
April 7th, 2008 - 2:05 pm ICT by admin New Delhi, Apr 7 (ANI): Vice President Hamid Ansari, who is currently on a visit to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, today greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Chaitra, Sukhladi and Cheti Chand.
In his message, Ansari said these festivals are celebrated in diverse ways with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm in several parts of the country as the beginning of traditional New Year.
“These festivals emphasise the significance of glorious cultural heritage and immensely contribute towards promoting social harmony and national integration,” he said.
“This occasion brings happiness, peace and prosperity and happiness in the lives of all,” the Vice President added. (ANI)
