July 1, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran Malayalam actor, Thilakan, was recently expelled from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Following his expulsion, the actor has expressed his desire to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala.

Thilakan wants to contest against K B Ganesh Kumar, who is an actor turned legislator from Pathanapuram. He is waiting for a political party to approach him now.

Recently, the director Ali Akbar visited Thilakan at his home. He is making a film with Thilakan, titled Achan. The director’s car was then stoned by some miscreants. According to Thilakan, these people belonged to K B Ganesh Kumar’s Kerala Congress (B) as he believes Ganesh is scheming against him. So, Thilakan wants to answer back him by challenging him in the coming elections. The stone throwing incident happened on Monday.

Akbar informed, “The case is already registered with the police.” He is sure about the involvement of Kerala Congress in the incident as they earlier said that they will not allow to him to continue with the movie.

This incident happened following the expulsion of Thilakan form AMMA. K B Ganesh Kumar was the transport minister during the AK Antony government and is a member of AMMA now.
