966New York, June 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop diva Mariah Carey has been sued by a New York veterinarian over a $37,800 medical bill that was settled for the care and treatment of her dogs. Reportedly, the veterinarian, Dr. Cindy Bressler told the media that Mariah Carey had agreed to pay the doctor the pre-decided sum of money as an ‘extraordinary fee’ for the care and treatment of her favorite dogs namely “Jack Russells,” “Dolomite,” “Cha-Cha,” and “JJ”. However, Mariah Carey has allegedly only paid a fraction of the fees to the veterinarian.

The doctor said that in spite of repetitive requests, the pop singer has only paid a total of $8,200 which, according to the doctor is a negligible amount for the “life-saving, round-the clock medical care” that was provided to the dogs from the month of October to December in the year 2009. One of Dr. Bressler’s associates said that Mariah Carey used to treat the veterinarian as if she was one of her make up man.

Mariah Carey is known to be a great dog lover in the music industry and her social networking profile is often decked up with pictures of her dogs. Dr. Cindy Bressler filed the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of Manhattan on Wednesday which accuses Mariah Carey of making a partial payment of $8,200 out of the promised sum of $37,800 bill for the “extraordinary services” provided to her dogs. It was also mentioned in the lawsuit that Mariah Carey was “unjustly enriched” and the doctor seeks the remaining amount of $29,559 along with the legal fees. The singer is yet to response to the lawsuit.
