London, Mar 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Vernon Kay has admitted that ITV1’s Sing If You Can is beyond his league. The Family Fortunes star after filming the pilot of the show gave up the position as the host of the show.

During an interview, Kay said that, “‘Following the pilot the producers and I talked about the tone of the show. And we all agreed that because of the mix of comedy and slapstick challenges it would benefit from having a comedian to host it.”

The show’s producers have settled on Keith Lemon to replace Kay. Sources close to the show revealed that during the pilot show, Kay was found in the wander-land. A source said that, “Vern would never describe himself as a serious sort of bloke but this show was a bit crazy even for him.”

The show’s first season would feature celebrities who try to sing while being distracted. Contestants like former X Factor contestants Brenda Edwards and Ray Quinn, Michelle Gayle, Mikey Graham and Jedward have all been confirmed for the show.

It would not be an easy thing to sing during the show. According to the show’s plot, contestants would face several distractions. At a point, knives would even be thrown at the contestants as they sing.
