Vera Wang announces separation from her husband Arthur Becker

They have had been married for 23 years. They also have 2 daughters together – Cecilia and Josephine. The news was confirmed by Vera Wang’s company president Mario Grauso. He said that, “Vera Wang and Arthur Becker have mutually and amicably agreed to separate. They remain devoted parents to their two daughters.”
Vera Wang started out as an ice skater and when she shifted gears to the fashion industry, then she started out by making dresses for the ice skaters. She also had a very noticeable stint as an editor for Vogue. In 1987 she started working for Ralph Lauren. Three years later, she opened her own shop at Carlyle Hotel in New York.
Vera Wang is well known for her wedding gowns and the rich and the famous flock to her when their wedding day approaches. Recently she designed for Kim Kardashian’s ill-fated wedding. Khloe Kardashian also got her wedding dresses done by her when she married Lamar Odom in 2009.
With the separation in place, it remains to be seen how both of them are going to work on the professional front as Arthur has a stake in Vera Wang’s businesses.
