Los Angeles, Feb 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Vanity Magazine has unveiled its 17th Hollywood Issue.
It seems the magazine listened to what critics said last year because for the first time in three Vanity Fair Hollywood Issues, the magazine featured relatively older stars and colored skin actors as well.
The magazine was highly criticized last year after the Hollywood Issue featured only young white women stars. It was the same the previous year and it got many people fuming saying it was not acceptable. The magazine accepted the criticisms and duly wrote this year that the magazine “went back to the basics - no teenagers, no penguins, no (full-on) nudity, just the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment.”
The back cover of the magazine was revealed on the 2nd day of February. It showed among other stars Anthony Mackie and Rashida Jones who are all considered of colored race.
The featured stars for this year’s edition are; Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, James Franco, Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie, Olivia Wilde, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Robert Duvall, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund and Noomi Rapace.
The Vanity Fair’s 2011 Hollywood Issue will be now on the newsstands from Thursday the 3rd day of February.
