New Mexico, June 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) He might have impressed the audience with his acting talents but it seems like Val Kilmer will have to try a little bit harder to appease his neighbors. Reportedly, the “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” star wanted his massive 600 acres of ranch to be transformed into a sophisticated bed-and- breakfast which has not been approved by his neighbors. The reasons however aren’t too obscure to scan as Val Kilmer had made a notorious comment about New Mexico and his neighbors seven years back.

To convert his ranch into a stylish bed and breakfast Val Kilmer shall have to obtain a permit which seems to be a great challenge to him at this point of time. He is all set to approach the court with the case on Wednesday and hopes to get himself a permit.

So, what exactly Val Kilmer said seven years back to make his neighbors turn their back on him? Well it was in an issue of “Rolling Stones” where Val Kilmer called New Mexico to be “the homicide capital of the Southwest”. Not only that, he also said that 80 percent of people in the neighborhood are drunkards. After a couple of years, “Esquire” magazine depicted Val Kilmer making a joke out of the veteran soldiers of New Mexico.

Now the only option which is left for the actor is to apologize for his earlier remarks about New Mexico.

When asked about his reaction, Val Kilmer told the media that he is not at all bothered by the neighbors. Instead he hopes to do the right thing without upsetting people and wants to bring one and all together.
