US rapper Snoop Dogg ‘keen to become an Aussie citizen’
April 17th, 2011 - 7:39 pm ICT by ANIMelbourne, Apr 17 (ANI): American rapper Snoop Dogg may have been denied a visa by the Australian Government in 2007, but that hasn’t put him off in his quest to become an Australian citizen.
In a recent interview with the Sunday Mail, Snoop hinted he might have already bought a little piece of Australia to call his own, reports the Courier Mail.
“I will be coming back to get my citizenship because I do have a house to get to, you dig?” he said.
The rap superstar, who’s single ‘Sweat’ is No. 1 on the Australian charts, said he had his “ear to the ground” for new talent and thinks Australians rapping in Aussie accents is “dope”.
“Australians make great music. You all got your own style. I love the originality. I love how people are stepping up and standing for something and not trying to follow and be like somebody else,” he added. (ANI)
