Ryan BradleyJan 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ryan Bradley was the main show stealer in the US Figure Skating Championships 2011 yesterday, where he participated in the short program category. His participation came as a huge surprise to the rest of the audiences, as last year in the same event, he apparently bid adieu to his fans, who never wanted to him to retire from the world of skating. His presence was all more exciting because for the last few months, he has been thinking about taking a retirement from skating, after recovering from a major surgery in May, due to a leg injury.

Ryan Bradley sizzled with his skating skills with the song, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. He sported a very cool and trendy army uniform, which was fitted enough to accentuate his perfectly supple body moves. His power packed performance gave him a narrow lead over Jeremy Abbott, the two time defending U.S. champion. Ryan Bradley emerged with a final score of 80.39, while Jeremy Abbott fell shortly behind, with a score of 78.39. The third position was taken by Brandon Mroz with 71.61. Ryan Bradley said that he was considering himself to be Brett Favre, while giving the captivating performance. He also added that when he started with his training after the accident, he had no intention to make it on this stage or even winning it. However, when he got off the plane, he was motivated with the desire to be on the top once again.

Last year he could not make it to the Olympic team with a very narrow and regrettable margin. Superseding Jeremy Abbott this year was rather a huge boost for his morale. He said that this was a huge consolation, that meant a lot for him. Even Jeremy Abbott gave a heart felt congratulation to him, and said that it never feels good to be a loser, but if he loses to someone as competent as Ryan Bradley, then he has no qualms at all.
