September 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kannada film actor, director and writer Upendra has turned 43 years old on September 18th. On the same day, Kannada actress Shruthi also celebrated her birthday with her daughter Gowri at Basaveshwaranagar residence.

The actress, who had acted in about 120 films, preferred to keep the day low key celebrating only with family members. Another renowned actor Dr. Vishnuvardhana also shared the same birthday but he passed away few months back.

Upendra had a grand celebration on the day with thousands of fans gathering at his residence near Kathreguppa. The family members of the actor made special arrangements for his fans and police was also deployed to control the huge crowd outside his house.

The actor was seen with his wife Priyanka and two children, brother Sudeendra and parents at the birthday celebration spot. The fans gathered there with garlands and cakes to present to their favorite star. The fans are also eagerly waiting for the release of Upendra’s upcoming movie titled Super.

Upendra also received birthday wishes from his film industry friends via phone. However, some of them could manage to reach his residence after facing much difficulty.

Belated birthday wishes to both the actors and we hope his upcoming movie rocks the Sandalwood!
