Uma Thurmans stalker rejects plea dealDecember 6th, 2007 - 4:45 pm ICT by admin
Washington, Dec 6 (ANI): A man accused of stalking actress Uma Thurman has rejected a plea deal to check into a mental health facility after protesting his innocence over charges of coercion.
Jack Jordan pleaded not guilty to the charges last month and presently has been set free on 10,000 dollars bail, reports E!Online.
The 35-year-old man, refused to plead guilty to attempted coercion, a felony the court would have reduced to a misdemeanour once he completed at least a year of a mental health program.
Defense lawyer George Vomvolakis said Jordan would consider pleading guilty to a misdemeanour with commitment to a psychiatric program.
Jack Jordan is facing charges of harassment and felony coercion, which stem from an incident in which he allegedly told Thurman he would kill himself if he saw her with another man. (ANI)
